Résumé
Before examining arguments for and against, this chapter presents definitions of euthanasia and discusses the distinction between euthanasia and other acts that may result in a premature death, such as suicide and homicide. The major arguments in support of and against the legalization of euthanasia are briefly summarized, then considered in terms of human-rights issues involving euthanasia and suicide. This chapter concludes with a comparison of arguments based upon moral and philosophical beliefs and arguments based upon practical concerns. ARGUMENT EUTHANASIE ÉTHIQUE DÉFINITION SUICIDE-ASSISTÉ
