Lithuania--Suicide bereavement support beyond cultural trauma

Résumé

Though Lithuania has one of the highest suicide rates in the world, suicide bereavement support is underdeveloped in the country, at least partly due to the history of the country. A recent qualitative study revealed that in addition to the scarcity of postvention resources, survivors themselves are reluctant to seek help. These findings are discussed with regards to challenges and opportunities for suicide bereavement support in Lithuania.
