Each year, CRISE can fund one postdoctoral fellow and welcome other fellows that obtain their own financing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Programme Objectives<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To develop cutting edge research on suicide and end-of-life practices by young researchers in various disciplines (e.g., psychiatry, psychology, nursing, anthropology, epidemiology, public health, neurosciences and other related disciplines);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To encourage researchers who have been working on other topics to conduct research on suicide and end-of-life practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Term and Salary<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The duration of the fellowship is 8 to 12 months and full time (35 hours per week). Gross income for 12 months is $45,000 to $60,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application and Deadlines<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications are accepted until <strong>May 31<sup>st<\/sup> of each year<\/strong>. The postdoctoral training usually starts the<strong> following September 1<sup>st<\/sup><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Admission Criteria<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p> We are looking for candidates who recently received a doctorate or experienced researchers or clinicians in another subject area that would like to realign and specialize in research on suicide prevention or end-of-life practices. Candidates must meet the following requirements: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hold a doctorate in a relevant field;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have obtained a doctorate <strong>less than 5 years ago<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wish to undertake a career in research on suicide or end-of-life practices;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Agree to participate in regular activities at CRISE, including seminars, workshops and research activities with a mentor.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>General Selection Criteria<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Knowledge of some spoken French is an asset for full participation in the program. In addition, the selection of a candidate will mainly reside on the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Work and research experience, publications and scholarships received;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interest in undertaking a career in research on suicide or end-of-life practices;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Potential for conducting research in the area of suicide or end-of-life practices;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to match the candidate&#8217;s research interests with those of available mentors.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Procedure<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates should send the following documents by email in order to apply for a postdoctoral fellowship:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A certified copy of the academic transcript (report card) of doctoral studies;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A certified copy of their PhD diploma, or a certified letter from their university confirming that the candidate completed the program and obtained a PhD;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A letter in which the candidate describes his or her interests in research on suicide or end-of-life practices, including the identification of possible mentors with whom the candidate would like to work;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <em>curriculum vitae<\/em> (resume) that includes details of the candidate&#8217;s education, work experiences, publications, bursaries and scholarships obtained and research work;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two letters of recommendation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important notice: Incomplete applications will not be taken in consideration.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>All complete applications must be sent by email before May 31st, 2023, 11:59 PM, E.D.T.
