Émilie Allard, PhD is Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Nursing of Université de Montréal. She has teaching and research expertise in palliative and end-of-life care (PELC). Her PhD thesis focused on the process of preparing to the death of a spouse by cancer. Her doctoral research led to the creation of a model illustrating the changes in identity that women experience prior to the death of their spouse. Her other research interests include interdisciplinary training in PELC, as well as developing and evaluating access and quality of PELC.
